US State Dept: Fidel Castro Death Rumors False
Fidel Castro Dead? Not according to the State Dept. Fidel Castro dies and Fidel Castro Dead stories have lit up the internet over the past 24 hours.
Cuba's foreign minister, in an effort to quiet the rumors, made a statement yesterday saying that Castro was is in good health.
Speculation has been ripe ever since the 81st birthday of Fidel Castro on August 13th. Cubans has hoped that Fidel would make a public appearance during his birthday celebrations nearly two weeks ago, but he never did make that appearance.
