Zombies Walk the Streets of Seattle
The walking dead may or may not be coming to eat your flesh. But there's no doubt zombies are a rising part of Portland culture.
Last Sunday brought the fourth-annual Portland Zombie Walk, in which hundreds of fake-blood-drenched ghouls marched through downtown. Among the lumbering ranks were undead clowns, cops — even an Obama zombie moaning for "chaaaaange."
Saturday saw 58 zombies perform the dance from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video at an Oaks Park fundraiser as part of a global re-enactment. And only about six months remain until the next zombie prom and the undead film festival, Zompire, which shows 20 to 30 movies from around the world.
