According to court documents, both Jon Stewart of The Daily Show and Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report have been asked to testify.
The request stems from Google's attempts to fight the $1 billion USD lawsuit Viacom filed against it in March of this year. The Mountain View, Calif. search giant's move may seem peculiar, but both Colbert and Stewart played a role in the tussle between the two companies.

Google's "Health Advertising Team" is trying to sell the health industry on buying ads to be shown opposite searches for "Sicko." The idea is to counter Michael Moore's amazing, enraging, must-see indictment of the health industry's grip on American society by running ads over search results for Sicko.

Among the top 200 queries on Tuesday, news-related searches were 60 times greater than the number of news-related searches conducted the previous day.
More than 80 percent of the top 500 queries conducted on Tuesday were related to the terrorist attacks.
At 6:51 a.m. on Tuesday, more than 6,200 queries for “cnn” were conducted on Google. Between 6:26 a.m. and 7:06 a.m., the number of searches for “cnn” averaged approximately 6,000 queries per minute.
